Peace Concert NYC
October 9th, New York, NY. Church of St. Paul the Apostle was host to a Peace Concert that included rare footage of Sri Chinmoy in concert and live musical performances offered by his students from around the world.
On the eve of the third anniversary of Sri Chinmoy's passing, students from around the world gathered for a 3-day meditative observance.
During his lifetime, Sri Chinmoy offered 777 Peace Concerts worldwide from China to Zimbabwe and at such venus as Lincoln Centre, Carnegie Hall here in New York to Sydney Opera House and London's Royal Albert Hall. Performing his own haunting compositions while in a high meditative consciousness, Sri Chinmoy evoked an atmosphere of profound inner peace. The Peace Concert at St. Paul the Apostle hoped to re-create the soulful ambiance Sri Chinmoy's live performances always created.
