The Songs of the Soul Concert series features musical arrangements of Sri Chinmoy's compositions. Performed by individuals, ensembles, choral groups and orchestras from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa, these unique concerts are offered every April and August in America and in Europe. All concerts are offered free to the public.
While the groups hail from many countries, all share one common love for Sri Chinmoy's soulful music. The arrangements have the unique flavour of both Eastern and Western modalities as world-class musicians interpret Sri Chinmoy's compositions according to their musical styles.
Adesh Widmar (above) trained in classical sitar in Sri Lanka, uniquely blends Sri Chinmoy's haunting melodies with stirring sitar passages.
