April 13, 2014 - 50 Year Anniversary of Service in the West
This month is the Golden Jubilee of Sri Chinmoy's arrival in America. On April 13, 2014 Sri Chinmoy came to the West from India and made his home in New York for the next four decades. While still in India he wrote many soulful tributes to America. Sri Chinmoy has also composed numerous stirring songs dedicated to America.
Students of Sri Chinmoy will observe the 50th anniversary with activities in New York and across the globe. On April 9th, an invitational marathon will be held. A Songs of the Soul concert will be held on April 15th and a meditation and music workshop will be held on April 9th.
