Free meditation classes in Washington D.C.

...and other spiritual activities of the Washington D.C. Sri Chinmoy Centre.

The Washington, D.C. Sri Chinmoy Centre, located in Woodley Park, was established in 1971 and today is a leading teaching centre in meditation.  Members of the Centre offer free meditation classes at different venues in Maryland and Washington, DC, frequently in Cleveland Park.

Our simple aim is to offer meditation techniques that can be used easily by those new to meditation and that will also augment the practice of seasoned meditators. Although free and open to the public, seating is limited and reservations are necessary.

Public Races

Sri Chinmoy felt that that running and meditation go hand in hand, and encouraged his students to run as part of their spiritual discipline. In Washington, DC our team offers Self-Transcendence 2-Mile Runs on several Saturday mornings in spring and fall.
