The Sri Chinmoy San Francisco Centre was established in the early seventies with a dynamic group of people characteristic of the times. In fact, Sri Chinmoy kicked off his long-distance running career right here in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park and offered numerous Peace Concerts in the Bay area.
Ananda Fuara Restaurant
is a successful vegetarian restaurant in the downtown area where busy office workers can have a moment of peace and some great food in their lunch hour. It is also the hub of The Sri Chinmoy Centre activities in San Francisco. Recently remodeled, a number of Sri Chinmoy's original artworks, called Jharna-Kala are exhibited throughout.
